Dr. Yi-Ru Yu is currently a Senior Scientist at Pilatus Biosciences SA. He obtained his B.S. in Life Science and M.S. in Genomic Science from National Yang-Ming University in 2008. Dr. Yu then pursued a Ph.D. in Prof. Chun-Ming Chen's lab, where his research focused on the congenital diseases and tumorigenesis. In 2018, seeking to broaden his scientific expertise, Dr. Yu joined Prof. Ping-Chih Ho's lab at the University of Lausanne. There, he investigated cancer immunology, particularly the role of mitochondrial dynamics in the development of exhausted tumor-infiltrating CD8+ T cells. In 2022, Dr. Yu began a new chapter in his scientific career at Pilatus Biosciences. As the lead scientist, he focuses on translational medicine studies. He designs, coordinates, and establishes various collaborative studies with both academic institutes and CRO companies for pre-clinical studies.
