Since 1967, SOS Children's Villages Pilipinas has been providing care to children who lost parental care, and has supported thousands of children, youth, and families through Alternative Family-Like Care and Family Strengthening Programs. SOS Children’s Villages Pilipinas provides care for numerous Filipino children and youth across eight program locations nationwide, while also extending support to over 1,700 families within their communities. 
Within each family house in the village community, four to ten boys and girls of varying ages reside with their SOS parent. Meanwhile, efforts are made to assist struggling families in nearby communities to prevent family breakdown and child abandonment. The SOS families coexist alongside neighbors from their communities, ensuring that the children receive the same quality care while also being integrated into the broader community.
