Vio brings with him over 35 years of experience having worked in both local and foreign banks, namely, China Bank Capital Corporation, China Banking Corporation, Citibank NA, First Metro Investment Corp., ING Bank NV and Far East Bank and Trust Company. He has extensive experience in investment banking, corporate banking and credit risk management. He joined Security Bank Capital in October 2018 as Managing Director and Co-Head, Investment Banking and assumed the role of President and CEO in March 2020. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Investment House Association of the Philippines. He holds a BS Management Engineering degree at the Ateneo de Manila University.
